12 Jan 2024 Hamamatsu Photonics has recently developed a new reflective sensor named P13567-02CT. The sensor is designed to work with near-infrared/proximity types and is packaged in a compact size. It contains an InGaAs PIN photodiode and 1.45 μm band LED.
The LED emits infrared light on the target object, and the photodiode signal generated from the reflected light is output digitally through an I2C interface. The sensor comes with an I2C interface, low supply voltage (Vdd=2.25 V to 3.63 V), I2C bus voltage (1.65 V) and low current consumption. Housed within a small package, (7.7 × 3.1 × 1.0 mm), the P13567-02CT supports lead-free reflow soldering, has a built-in 16-bit A/D converter and an LED driver.
This sensor is perfect for moisture level detection and NIR (near infrared) photography photometry applications.
